What the EMF!?

We live in a world of frequencies, energies, and vibrations. Have you ever walked into a room and you could tell that something serious just happened? Or that someone was upset? Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you might not get along? You were sensing the vibes! It's natural for us to be in tune with these frequencies.

Just as there are good fats and bad fats for our body, so there are good / safe electromagnetic fields and bad / harmful electromagnetic fields for our body.

Harmful electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation comes from electricmagneticwireless and ionizing radiation. 

We try to be cognizant of our use of harmful EMF products, but to be honest, it would require a complete overhaul of our home to tremendously reduce our exposure and that's overwhelming to me. I'm not quite there yet and I'm okay with that! I'm honoring my journey and here are a few things we are doing to help limit our exposure:

2. Low EMF Hair Dryer

Some hair dryers are surroundedby a very strong magnetic field, whereas other tools do not generate any. I have the Shield Life EMFreedom Hair Dryer!

 

3. Turn the WiFi off at night

WiFi routers are a relatively significant source of EMF radiation exposure in many homes and most people keep their routers on 24 hours a day — leading to a significant cumulative non-stop exposure. We have been using a Christmas light timer to shut the WiFi router off at night because there's no reason to keep it on when it's not in use — namely, when we're asleep.

 

4. Keep cell phones away from your body

It's important to realize that as long as your cell phone is on, it emits radiation intermittently, even when you're not actually making a call. So wearing a cell phone on your hip for 15 hours a day is giving that area of your body nearly continuous radiation exposure. Not only do we carry our cell phones in a purse or bag so it's away from our body, but we also do not make phone calls with our phone up to our ear. We use the speaker or a combination shielded wire and air-tube headset.

 

5. Frequent grounding breaks

We are BIG fans of grounding or earthing! Earthing is a popular method used for grounding the body’s energy to the healing energy of mother nature. It is one of the many natural techniques that allows your body to absorb the healing energy of nature, giving you a sense of calmness and inner peace. By having direct contact with Earth’s landscape, you are allowing the transfer of electrons from the ground to your body and therefore restoring lost electrons. One of the most effective ways to absorb these electrons is to walk barefoot outside, also known as grounding.

There is so much more that we could be doing to reduce EMF emissions, but this is where we're at right now. We're taking baby steps!
